Free Piston Air Motor with Worm Gearbox
Design
The worm gearbox type 63W have casing, feet and flanges, and are manufactured in high strength UNI 5076 aluminium. The worm is manufactured out of nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel alloy 18NICrMo4 hardened and ground. The worm wheel is of a special bronze alloy on a cast iron hub. Gear ratios from 7:1 to 100:1 provide speed regulation and torque amplification to suit most requirements. Special sealing components keep water and dust from entering the worm box inner parts, as well as preventing the lubricant from leaking.
Mountings
The units have universal mountings, either by foot or flange with an accurate spigot register.
Overhung Loading
Radial loads of up to 2500 newtons may be applied at mid shaft position.
Lubrication
Standard lubrication is with Telium VSF 320 EP synthetic oil and do not require further maintenance. The lubricants are suitable for operation at normal temperatures -25°C to +80°C. The unit should require no further maintenance for the life of the unit and are filled with the correct quantity of lubricant for the mounting position indicated on the name plate.
Shafts
The output shaft is 25mm diameter with an effective length of 60mm on either one face or both faces with a 6mm wide key by 50mm long. The hollow shaft unit is 25mm diameter H7 and has a female key slot 6mm wide through the gearbox.

The approximate nett weight is 12kg.
