Integral Clamp Spur Gear
 There
are 3 ways to fix a spur gear to a shaft: 1. using a
hub type with one or two set screws that contact the
shaft; 2. using a split hub with an added hub clamp;
3. a special locking hub clamp (read expensive). The
new integral clamp spur gear eliminates the extra
cost of added clamps, makes installation quicker,
reduces inventory and provides a very tight fit to
the shaft.
Because of the straight cut in the clamp section is
parallel to the shaft axis, you have almost 360
degree shaft contact. With the clamp integral to the
gear it gives superior holding power over set screw
or external clamp type fixing.
It is available on any gear made in quantity of 50
or more in any material a gear is made from. |
